First Day at Work in Koh Rong

 In Adventures

13 days later I get a chance to visit Koh Rong Samloem. In this post I’ll tell you my Koh Rong Samloem impressions and after that my first day at work in Koh Rong.

When I got a chance to visit Samloem there is no way to miss it. Samloem is the smaller island that across of Koh Rong. They learned a lot of things from Koh Rong’s development process. They are very close to Koh Rong economically. Samloem very quiet  than Koh Rong. Because there are less dwellers in the island.

After several hours of island tour I was totally amazed. Koh Rong Samloem – M’pai Bay is one of the best places in the world for give up all worldly things. All of my plans are based on moving to M’pai Bay right now. There is a one chance to doing business but it’s not clear right now.

First Day at Work in Koh Rong

I started to working as waiter at Bamboo. Adaptation process is taking some money unfortunately. After 13 days I noticed I need to work immediatly. It’s not just about money actually. You need to do something. You need to make your mind busy and this island has very potential to create something.

Working as a waiter is really good thing for me because I can work as a waiter in everywhere. In the other hand I need to serve and speak in English. It is best way to improve my English. I never worked as a waiter before. Last 6 years I worked as a Digital Marketing Specialist and after that I found myself to working as a waiter at a restaurant in the tropic island. Also I want to continue my travel after 2 years. Because of that I need to learn lots of things like that.

First day was very easy. I just served for 13 or 14 tables. I worked in the day shift and my shift was over at 15:00 and after that I thought went to swimming was a good idea. I was sitting in front of my computer when supply boat arrived. I went to pier for carrying supplies with all of my friends. When I arrived to Supply Boat there was a chaos. After 30 seconds I just realized reason of chaos. There was a lots of things to carry for everyone. Our supplies were 20 beer kegs, 3 industrial ice (each one was 10-15kg), 2 box glass bottle of beer,  2 box can of beer etc. etc. We were need to go to pier for 3 times.

There was 50 or 60 people on the pier with tuktuks, motocycles, bicycles and lots of things. If I’ll have a chance I want to take some photos from pier.
